Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 2026

Welcome to LawAssist.ai. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, private beta platform, and research tools.

1. Use of the Assistant

LawAssist.ai provides an AI-powered legal research assistant designed for advocates and legal researchers in India. The platform is currently in a pre-launch/private beta stage. The outputs of the platform are intended solely to assist manual research.

2. No Legal Advice

Our assistant extracts issues, maps central/state Acts and sections, and summarizes judgments. It does not provide legal advice or act as counsel. The user remains solely responsible for verifying citations, analyzing precedents, and forming arguments.

3. Registration & Accounts

By applying for early access or requesting account access, you agree to provide accurate registration details, use a valid professional email, and safeguard your login credentials.

4. Limitations of Liability

We provide the platform "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that output summaries are error-free or that citation links are continuously available. We are not liable for legal research errors made on basis of the assistant's summaries.

5. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms as we transition through subsequent roadmap phases. Continued use of the platform constitutes agreement to the updated Terms.
